Spanish IV (SPA 203 Intermediate Spanish I)
Spanish IV (SPA 203 Intermediate Spanish I) is an elective course of study that can be taken for a local and/or college credit.
•3 credit hour college course through NCCC
•Focus on Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking at the NYS Checkpoint C level of communication
•Emphasis on classic and contemporary art and literature
•Grammar focuses on review and refinement of the indicative tenses

Successful completion of the course awards the student 3 credit hours and generates a college transcript.
Advantages to taking college credit courses in high school:
-reduced tuition
-experience the rigor of a college class before entering college
-full year course (40 weeks) vs. one semester (approximately 17 weeks) to learn the same material
-possibly eliminate the need to take a foreign language course in college
-potential to graduate college early
